Connector Chaining: When One Tool Triggers Another
The killer moves are cross-tool: "find the email about the launch, summarize it, and create a Linear issue."
You type the thing you've wanted to type for weeks: "Find the email about the launch, summarize it, and create a Linear issue." Three tools, one sentence. You hit enter feeling clever.
Cowork finds an email about a launch: the wrong one, a thread from two quarters ago. It summarizes the wrong thing, then creates a Linear issue titled "Launch" with a one-line body, no labels, dropped in the default team where no one will ever find it.
You delete the issue and go back to doing it by hand across four browser tabs.
The chain worked perfectly. That's the problem: it did exactly what you described, and you described almost nothing. The tool didn't fail; the handoffs between the tools were never specified.
#The killer move is cross-tool
A single connector is a lookup. "What's on my calendar?" "Search Slack for the budget thread." Useful, but you could have clicked your way there in about the same time.
