Sub-Agents: When to Delegate Inside a Single Session

Most users don't know Cowork can spawn focused workers.

You hand Cowork something genuinely large. "Go through last quarter's customer interviews, pull the recurring complaints, cross-check them against our open support tickets, and give me the top three themes." It starts.

The reply scrolls. Transcript after transcript, ticket dumps, half-formed notes about a call that didn't matter. Three screens later it hands you a conclusion, and you can't tell whether it held all of that in its head or just summarized the last thing it read. Neither, honestly, can it.

The tool isn't underpowered. You asked one worker to read forty documents and synthesize them in the same space where it's talking to you; the reading buried the thinking.

There's a move for exactly this, and most people don't know Cowork has it: hand the messy parts to focused workers, keep only the findings.
